Gives sturdy support. The hooks and zip ensures everything is "in there" Love that it comes up to right under the bra. No bulges. Really is comfortable. I carry most of my weight around my tummy area, and I am between a size 10&12 for jeans. I bought a XXL, but knowing how comfy it is I am ordering a smaller size.
